These appliances are used for multiple orthodontic problems for young ages, and as retention appliances after orthodontic treatment.
Removable appliances can be used in young ages in order for example to move specific teeth, or like a retention appliance when orthodontic treatment is completed.
They require continuous wear, and can be removed by the patient for eating and brushing.
They can also be used as functional appliances to help with growth of the lower jaw when this is indicated.
